Thank you for the comment. I agree — all of this makes white people extremely uncomfortable. Even the “safe” activities like benign neighborhood meetings with their white neighbors is too much. And they all have a vested interest in not rocking the boat, staying “nice” and doing the bare minimum: a desire to maintain their place in the social order. It’s easy to speak out during the fresh rage of George Floyd’s murder. It’s another thing entirely to consistently elevate your voice to keep up the fight.
